Aim:
To train experienced PWC handlers to become PWC Instructors.
Duration:
Three days with the final day being moderated by a second Jetski trainer.

RYA PWC Instructor Training - Course Information

In 2007 the RYA and PYA (Professional Yachtsman's Association) identified a need for guest's onboard superyachts to have some form of safety training before riding a PWC (Jetski). As a result of these discussions a Jetski training package was put together whereby a yacht becomes an RYA recognised training centre to teach jetski safety.

The Yacht has to have an RYA PWC (jetski) instructor on board to run this course. Charter guests, owners or crew will then be issued with a short term PWC (jetski) licence.

RYA PWC Instructor Training - Pre Course requirements

  • Minimum age 16
  • Valid first aid certificate
  • Hold an RYA PWC proficiency certificate (this is a 1 day course and can be completed the day prior to the instructors course)
