Guardian Marine instructors have experience of all types of power driven craft.
Many owners wish to take their course on board their own boat. This is an excellent way to combine your formal learning and familiarise yourself better with your own craft’s systems and handling characteristics.
When training on your own boat we ensure that we leave you with a greater understanding of how it works and more importantly how it handles.

Through experience we have found that, if you are a new owner, it is much better initially to create a bespoke course designed to acquaint you with your boats domestic systems, handling characteristics, mooring and lock procedures. In addition we pass on our vast local knowledge through taking you out on the local waters without you having to execute all of the manoeuvres required to attain an RYA certificate at this stage.

Take your RYA course on board your own boat. This is a cost-effective way of gaining your qualifications, as you will benefit from driving your own craft under controlled conditions. Success is an achievement and provides you with the confidence required for you to enjoy your boat to the maximum for many years to come.

We have courses running every week, all year round
Complete the simple form to enquire about a course or request a specific booking. We will reply promptly with the detail you need.
If you request a specific booking we will make the reservation and our booking system will send you an email, with a link to follow, to complete the process easily online. You’ll be asked to create or update your profile, confirm acceptance of terms and conditions and then make a payment online.
When you complete the payment you’ll receive an email with confirmation and joining instructions for the course.
