We have courses running every week, all year round

Complete the simple form to enquire about a course or request a specific booking. We will reply promptly with the detail you need.

If you request a specific booking we will make the reservation and our booking system will send you an email, with a link to follow, to complete the process easily online. You’ll be asked to create or update your profile, confirm acceptance of terms and conditions and then make a payment online.

When you complete the payment you’ll receive an email with confirmation and joining instructions for the course.

Level 2 Powerboat Instructor

Advanced Powerboat Instructor (Endorsement)

Course Information

Aim: To train experienced powerboat handlers to become Powerboat Instructors.
Duration: Three days.
Instructor to student ratio: 1:3

Aim: To train experienced powerboat instructors already holding the Advanced Powerboat Certificate to teach the Avanced Powerboat course.
Duration: Two days (Night navigation exercise on the first night).

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN INSTRUCTOR COURSE. YOU MUST BE A COMPETENT POWERBOAT HANDLER.

During the Level 2 Powerboat Instructor course you will be expected to deliver lessons based upon the current Level 2 Course.

Please Note: Evidence of experience must be supplied. Poor boat handling skills and lack of knowledge may result in you being refused a place on the course.

Please carefully study the course syllabus in the RYA powerboat logbook and have a copy of the RYA Instructor Handbook.

The course will be conducted in our 7.5m Humber RIB with a Yamaha 200 4 stroke.

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS AN ADVANCED INSTRUCTOR COURSE. YOU MUST BE A COMPETENT POWERBOAT HANDLER.

During the Advanced Powerboat Instructor (Endorsement) course you will be expected to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the advanced course and will be expected to deliver lessons to potential Advanced students.

Pre Course Requirements

All candidates for the level 2 powerboat instructors course must complete a pre powerboat instructors skills assessment.

All candidates must be a current Level 2 Powerboat Instructor, also you must hold the Advanced Certificate of Competence Commercially Endorsed, a valid first aid certificate and a VHF operator's certificate.

Candidates also should be competent to the standard of Yachtmaster shorebased, it is desirable to hold this certificate. Candidates must be an RYA member for the RYA to process their instructor certificate.

Personal Water Craft (PWC) Instructor

Become a Jetski Instructor
Course Information

Aim: To train experienced PWC handlers to become PWC Instructors.
Duration: Three days with the final day being moderated by a second trainer.
